In 1965 Howard Briar purchased our first Shorthorn heifer in Clovis, California and we have continued raising Shorthorns for the past 46 years!! Moving the operation to Texas in 1997, where there is a cow on every corner and we did not have to explain 4-H and FFA to every one we met; we have continued to enhance our breeding to what the industry standards are looking for as well as the show ring!! We represented ourselves in the show rings of California Cow Palace, California State Fair and our Fresno County Fair for 20+ years. Marilyn A. Briar-Seidlitz in her own right as a Agriculture Science Teacher has attended and learned about the 'Major Shows' of Texas learning what the show rings of Texas require. Native Texan Michael Seidlitz joined the family by marrying Marilyn A. Briar, January of 2001. Since then Marilyn & Michael have taken over full responsibility of the cows and now have some calves ready for the show ring. These calves are listed on the sale page ready to go for Fall & Spring Texas shows.
